Definitions
In these Terms, the following words carry the meanings below:
- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions together with any written enrolment confirmation from Sumber.
- "Programme" — any financial literacy workshop, programme, or course offered by Sumber, including the Small Business Numbers Workshop, Business Bookkeeping Basics Programme, and Small Business Finance Foundations Course.
- "Participant" / "You" — any individual who registers for or attends a Programme.
- "Sumber" / "We" / "Us" — Sumber, operating from Level 6, Plaza Sentral, Jalan Stesen Sentral 5, KL Sentral, 50470 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
- "Content" — all materials, templates, workbooks, reference cards, slides, and other resources provided as part of a Programme.
- "Fee" — the programme fee payable in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) as stated at enrolment.
Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enrolment enquiry, completing registration, or making payment for a Programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.
You must be at least 18 years of age to enrol. By registering, you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement under Malaysian law.
If enrolling on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to this Agreement.
Programme Description
Sumber provides general financial literacy education for small business owners. Programmes help participants understand and manage their own business records and figures. Sessions are delivered at our KL Sentral premises unless otherwise confirmed in writing.
Programme schedules, formats, and content are subject to reasonable adjustment at Sumber's discretion. Where material changes occur, enrolled participants will be notified promptly.
Programmes are currently available to residents and business owners based in Malaysia. Sumber reserves the right to decline enrolment requests at its discretion.
Enrolment
Enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and a written confirmation from Sumber. Places are limited and allocated on a first-paid basis.
Participants are responsible for ensuring contact details provided at registration are accurate. Programme information, schedules, and materials will be sent to the registered email address.
Sumber does not issue certificates of completion for its Programmes. Participation records are maintained for internal administrative purposes only.
Participant Responsibilities
As a participant, you agree to:
- Attend sessions punctually and engage constructively with content and fellow participants.
- Treat all other participants and Sumber staff with courtesy and respect at all times.
- Keep confidential any personal or business information shared by other participants in group sessions.
- Use programme Content solely for your own personal and business learning purposes.
- Not record, copy, distribute, or reproduce any part of Content without Sumber's prior written consent.
Sumber reserves the right to remove a participant from a session or programme without refund if their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or in breach of this Agreement.
Intellectual Property
All Content provided as part of any Programme — including workbooks, templates, reference cards, slides, and supplementary materials — remains the intellectual property of Sumber.
Upon payment of the Programme Fee, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Content for your own personal and business purposes. This licence does not permit redistribution, resale, republication, or commercial training use.
The Sumber name, logo, and all branding materials are the property of Sumber and may not be used without prior written consent.
Payment & Fees
All Programme Fees are quoted and payable in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Current fees:

Full payment is required before enrolment is confirmed. Sumber accepts payment by bank transfer and other methods confirmed at the time of enquiry. Fees are inclusive of all programme materials.
Sumber may revise Programme Fees at any time. Any revision will not affect the Fee for participants who have already received a written enrolment confirmation.
Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation by Participant
- 14 or more calendar days before start: full refund of the Fee paid, less any processing charges incurred.
- 7 to 13 calendar days before start: 50% of the Fee will be refunded.
- Fewer than 7 calendar days before start: no refund. A transfer to a future session may be offered at Sumber's discretion.
Cancellation by Sumber
If Sumber cancels a session due to circumstances within its control, enrolled participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a rescheduled session. Sumber is not liable for travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred by participants.
Disclaimers
All Programmes are provided strictly as general financial literacy education for public awareness. Nothing in any Sumber programme constitutes or should be construed as regulated financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, accounting services, or legal advice.
Sumber makes no representation that participation in any Programme will result in particular business outcomes or improved financial performance. Business decisions remain the sole responsibility of the participant.
Content is provided for general educational purposes and reflects general information available at the time of delivery. Sumber does not warrant that all Content is current, complete, or free from error.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under Malaysian law, Sumber's total liability to any participant shall not exceed the Programme Fee paid by that participant.
Sumber shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or incidental loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data, arising from participation in any Programme or use of Content.
Nothing here excludes or limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by Malaysian law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sumber, its staff, and representatives against any claim, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of this Agreement, your use of Content beyond the permitted scope, or conduct by you during a Programme that causes harm to Sumber or other participants.
Termination
A participant may withdraw from a Programme subject to the cancellation and refund terms in Section 8.
Sumber reserves the right to remove a participant from a Programme without refund where the participant has breached any term of this Agreement or where their behaviour is disruptive or detrimental to other participants or staff.
Sections 6, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination or expiry of this Agreement.
Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising under this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

Participants who are consumers may also raise complaints with the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia (Tribunal Tuntutan Pengguna Malaysia) under the Consumer Protection Act 1999.
General Provisions
- Entire Agreement. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between Sumber and the participant and supersedes all prior communications and representations.
- Severability. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver. Failure by Sumber to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your enrolment or any rights under this Agreement without Sumber's prior written consent.
- Notices. Notices from Sumber will be sent to your registered email. Notices to Sumber should be addressed to [email protected].
Changes to Terms
Sumber may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be published on our website. Material changes will be communicated to current participants by email.
Continued participation following notification of an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Where a revision is not acceptable, participants may cancel under Section 8.
